MSExchangeSA -  Event ID: 9385
Hello, Here my configuration: Exchange 2007 - Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition x64 - R2Version 5.2.3790 Service Pack 2 I found the below Event ID: Product: Exchange Event ID: 9385 Source: MSExchangeSA Version: 8.0 Symbolic Name: evtFailedToReadExchangeServersGroup Message: Microsoft Exchange System Attendant failed to read the membership of the universal security group '%1'; the error code was '%2'. The problem might be that the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant does not have permission to read the membership of the group. If this computer is not a member of the group '%1', you should manually stop all Microsoft Exchange services, run the task 'add-ExchangeServerGroupMember,' and then restart all Microsoft Exchange services. I found that solution: Verify that the computer is part of the Exchange Servers security group. If this computer is not a member of the Exchange Servers security group, stop all Microsoft Exchange services, add this computer to the Exchange Servers security group, and then restart all Microsoft Exchange services. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=8.0&EvtID=9385&EvtSrc=MSExchangeSA&LCID=1033 I wanted to know how could I add my computer to the Exchange Servers security group? Also I have the lanmanserver service stopped on the mailbox server is that normal? Should that service be running? Could you please tell me which services should be running? Thanks, Graig

Hello, "Also I have the lanmanserver service stopped on the mailbox server is that normal? Should that service be running? Could you please tell me which services should be running?" The service "lanmanserver" should be up and running. I do not know which other services have to be started. But I have figured out that after restarting the lanmanserver service I was able to create my storage group! Try restarting the System Attendant on that Exchange server and see if that resolves it.
